Taboo
A four month journey into desire through archetype, shadow, sexology, imagination, somatics, myth, dream and erotic ecology.
Come to deeply know the shapeshifter within and restore your personal mythos, eros, and ecological self.
TABOO is a live group mentorship exploring the archetypal forces shaping who we have learned to become, what we have been forbidden from becoming, and how these inherited stories live in our bodies, relationships, sexuality, desires, and creative lives so that we may unearth our true desires and to deeply feel, express and embody the erotic, enchanting, unconditional love that flows within us and all of life.

Kink. Rage. Age. Disgust. Power. Envy. Need.
We are bringing taboo subjects into conversation with the body, with one another, and with the stories that shaped us. Myth and archetypes give us figures to work with. Somatics, sexology, dream, and shadow theater help us notice where those figures show up in our lives: in what we burn for, what we reject, what we hide, what we hate, and the choices we keep making without full agency.
When we can see those patterns and feel how they live in us, we have more room to choose. To want what we want. To refuse what we don’t.
We’re interested in what becomes possible when the parts you’ve had to hide are allowed to be seen.
The old forgotten mythologies and philosophies of the rich, complex, wise and powerful feminine, live in the human psyche today as TABOO.
Modernity, cleverly fabricated under the guise of patriarchy, has systematically tamed the wild feminine, closed our ears to the animals and plants who whisper secrets, erased our deep sense of belonging to the land and abstracted our innate power, pleasure and worth.
The very myths, archetypes and stories that bridge our connection to the world of soul and spirit have been manipulated to contort, control and silence the very essence of our human nature.
It is time to reclaim them. To create our personal mythos. To step into our powerful desire.
There are women we have been warned not to become.
The Bitch. The Witch. The Hag. The Shrew. The Slut.
The woman who wants too much.
Who refuses to comply.
Who spreads her legs too far open when she sits.
Who spits out truth instead of faking another god damn smile.
They have been condemned, mocked, punished, hidden, and projected onto other women since the beginning of time.
And there are the women we have been taught to be.
The Virgin. The Damsel. The Good Girl.
The woman who is desirable but never desiring.
Who gives endlessly without needing.
Who does as she’s told.
Who smiles on command.
Who needs a man.
These figures are the maps that have been woefully imprinted onto our personalities and the landscape of our ecological self. They are the contours of our bodies, the relationships we give ourselves to, what we obsess and fantasize about. They live through our ego and garner our fears and actions.
They shape what and who we desire. Who we judge. What we hide. What we fake. What we punish in ourselves and project onto other people.
But there is a yearning. Can you feel it?
A burning within, provocative and sensuous, pulsing through our blood and bones. It is our sense of awe, our power, our connection, our belonging to a mysterious and animate Earth.
In the deepest layers of our individual psyche is the myth ready to be birthed by our soul.
THE EROTIC BODY
I don’t know about you but I am done being bored by life.
I want to be turned on by life.
I want to feel eros dripping down my throat after sipping coffee.
I want to feel the erotic spark coaxing the words out of my mouth when telling you about my day.
I want to feel my fingers casting spells as I reply to emails.
I want to feel the art piercing my soul when watching a Netflix show.
I want each and every taste bud to make out with the flavors of my food.
I want to lie in my bed each night and stretch adoration into each and every body part.
I WANT.
The erotic is far more than sexual.
It is the essence of our very aliveness, pulling us towards possibility, wonder and reverence.
It is the surge of inspiration, motivation and creation.
It gets us out of bed in the morning.
We are alive because we are erotic
The erotic reminds us that we are not apart from this earth; we are a part of her. A part of everything that we do in our day, a part of the land, a part of our animal kin, a part of the collective whole.
Erotic ecology, somatics, sexology and body mapping are pathways to rediscover and let flow our lifeforce in relationship with all that is Earth. We’ll engage in practices designed to bring us into connection with our ecological eros - the ever-giving and infinite source of pleasure, aliveness and vitality - and kindle the power of our life force through which possibility can freely flow.
What We’ll Explore
Archetype + depth psychology
The figures, complexes, and unconscious forces shaping our identities, relationships, desires, and cultural stories so that we become aware of what parts of us are running the show and which parts are longing to come out.
Somatics + Body Mapping
How archetypal and erotic experience lives in the body through sensation, tension, pleasure, numbness, longing, boundaries, and instinct so that we may heal somatically and reorient our systems to a new way of being instead of just intellectual understanding these concepts.
Sexology + Erotic ecology
Our relationship with sexuality, pleasure, and desire—and how our erotic lives are shaped by our bodies, relationships, environments, ancestry, culture, and the living world so that we may come into deeper relationship with our desire and feel confident enough to take action towards what it is we long for.
Dream, Myth + Storytelling
The images and conflicts emerging beneath conscious awareness, the stories we have inherited, so that these stories can be entered, disrupted, and told differently in an embodied way.
Shadow Theatre, Ritual + Ceremony
Giving shape, voice, movement, and form to what cannot always be reached through conversation so that we can create embodied ways to mark thresholds and deepen our relationship with the work and our bodies.
Eros + Creative Force
How sexual energy moves beyond sex and into imagination, expression, art, purpose, and the desires asking to shape our lives so that we have more agency over our energy and how we wield it.
You do not need to be an artist, performer, scholar, or expert in any of these practices.
You only need a willingness to become curious about what appears.
Together, we will create a living theatre of the psyche—one in which the hidden figure can step forward, speak, move, disturb the old story, and reveal what they desire most.
THE ARCHETYPAL FIELD
As we journey through the terrain of the mythopoetic and archetypal language, we will be met by many wild, beautiful, wise, dangerous and formidable figures of myth and folklore, each offering gifts, warnings, symbols, deep truths and sparks of inspiration. They will penetrate our psyches and come to us in our dreams, visions, desires and relationships with the other-than-human.
Working with the cultural characters used to discipline, divide, idealize, sexualize, and condemn women - such as The Hag. The Virgin. The Prostitute. The Slut. The Orphan. The Outcast. The Shrew. The Damsel. The Bitch. The Witch - We will uncivilize ourselves and re-meet these figures as guides, warriors, wise ones, lovers, healers and tricksters.
The field of myth and archetype is a living landscape and we will adapt to her will as the weeks unfold, inviting familiar and, until recently, forgotten mythic beings. Some who may grace our journey include otherworldly life-giving maidens, fertile earthlings made from trees and flowers, Selkies and other underwater creatures, figures from the underworld and those who journey to meet them, elemental beings, the womb of the mountain, the storm-hags, fire-keepers and bone collectors.
YOU MAY FEEL CALLED TO ENTER TABOO IF…
You want to explore your relationship with femininity, sexuality, anger, power, aging, goodness, monstrosity, death, and rebirth without being given another correct identity to perform.
You want to know your eroticism as your own—not only through performance, expectation, or the gaze of another.
You feel something unlived pressing beneath the surface of your life and want to listen more closely to what it desires.
You are curious about sexual energy as a source of creativity, aliveness, relationship, and expression.
You are ready to meet your contradictions without forcing them into a story of either shame or empowerment.
You long for a space where the strange, erotic, difficult, grotesque, tender, or socially unacceptable can be approached with curiosity.
You want to create, move, dream, experiment, and be witnessed—not only analyze yourself from a distance.
You want to deepen your self-awareness through the exploration of the unconscious, particularly the roles of the Shadow and symbols.
You long to deepen your relationship to the Earth as lover and kin.

TABOO SCHEDULE
It is time to become re-enchanted. To re-wild the imagination. To court our unique mythopoetic Self.
To shamelessly claim our desires. To be able to respond to life with total sovereignty. To come into deep relationship with our bodies— our protectors and guides. To kink the taboo. And fall in love with ourselves and our lives.
The practice of re-defining and romancing the archetypes of the feminine brings us into a vibrant relationship with our psychopomps— a beautiful old word of Greek origins meaning ‘soul guide’.
Fall in love with the Hag
Breathe belonging into the Shrew
Unveil the mythopoetic symbols unique to only you
Dance with the poems, stories and art that your soul beckons you to birth
Resurrect the mythic map of your own personal ecology
TABOO is a four-month group mentorship designed to redefine and revive your relationship with the taboo parts of yourself, to unearth your true desires, and to deeply feel and express the erotic, enchanting, unconditional love that flows within us and all of life.
The TABOO Arc
Dreaming Awake: We will reclaim our stories of TABOO archetypes such as the witch, the hag and the slut. Composting the invasive myths of male supremacy, exploitation and power over and becoming bewitched by the wild lands of ourstory, dream and imagination.
The Enchanted Forest: We will then meet the wellspring of our erotic aliveness through the living landscapes of body and Earth, weaving with the threads of sexology, erotic ecology, body mapping, somatics and courting the beloved.
The Re-wilded Imagination: As we find ourselves on the edgeland, at the point of liminality, we will root into our own personal mythic maps, creating a landscape of TABOO and the mythopoetic Self guided by our mythic imagination and archetypal patterns.
Meet Your Guides
Alli Rune, (she/her)
Somatic Therapist, Somatic Educator, Artist & Shadow Theater Facilitator, Founder of Primordial Medicine
I am fascinated by the ways we learn to contort ourselves in order to belong. Born with spina bifida, my life has been shaped by a deep curiosity about adaptation, resilience, embodiment, healing, and the intelligence of the body. My work weaves somatic therapy, ritual, shadow theater, symbolic process, nervous system healing, depth psychology, and mythopoetic exploration.
I am a somatic therapist, somatic educator, artist, and shadow theater facilitator. I am queer, neurodivergent, sober, fiercely loving, endlessly curious, and convinced that absurdity is medicine. I am shaped by animals, art, community, grief, laughter, and the ongoing practice of living with my heart broken open and becoming more fully alive in our holy human messiness.
Amy Danu (she/they/ki)
Amy is a trauma-transformation clinical somatic and movement therapist, sexologist, erotic ecologist, EcoSomatic practitioner, artist and ceremonialist, supporting those she works with to drive social change through a meaningful relationship to the web of life. Drawn to myths as maps, Amy’s activism moves through the body as an art form, curiously communing with the landscape of earth, soma and the liminal, casting shadows of oral storytelling, movement, craft, collaborative exploration and ritual, to spark the possibility of a regenerative and deeply loving worldview. She is the Founder at Of Earth & Eros, a place dedicated to helping folks working at the edge of a dismantling paradigm to explore the healing power of nature, soma, environmental and social justice, land-honouring practices and eroticism as life force.
